Privacy Notice · Updated September 2026
This notice explains how RelayForward handles information created by temporary email, long-term forwarding addresses, and account verification—and what is not used for advertising profiles.
Used to route your current inbox. Once the validity period ends, the address and emails are cleared according to the service cycle.
Long-term forwarding only requires a receiving email address, login status, and security settings. Your name and password are not required.
Message content is processed only to display, forward, and troubleshoot delivery—not to build advertising interest profiles.
We retain necessary timestamps, outcomes, and security events to help prevent abuse and diagnose delivery problems.
| Category | Purpose | Typically retained | Your choices |
|---|---|---|---|
| Temporary email and messages | Receive, display, and delete messages | Email validity period plus a brief cleanup window | Change the address or delete messages individually |
| Forwarding account and aliases | Code-based login, routing, and status management | While the account exists | Pause, delete aliases, or contact us to close the account |
| Delivery records | Show recent delivery results and troubleshoot problems | Up to 30 days | Delete records in the dashboard |
| Security and network logs | Rate limiting, abuse prevention, and incident investigation | A limited period based on risk | Requests may be made except where legally required |
This notice applies to the temporary email, message viewing, long-term forwarding, delivery records, and account security features provided by relayforward.com. Third-party senders and websites you visit have their own privacy practices; this notice does not replace their policies.
When you submit a RelayForward address to a third party, that party may retain the address and related activity. Review its purposes, retention periods, and opt-out options before submitting it.
Temporary email processes random addresses, validity periods, received messages, and read and delete actions. Long-term forwarding also processes the receiving email address, verification results, alias status, authenticator settings, and delivery results.
To protect the service, we may record request times, limited security records of IP addresses, browser type, error codes, and abuse assessments. We do not require your real name, contacts, or social profiles.
Core processing fulfills your requests to receive, forward, delete, and securely verify email. Rate limiting and security logs help keep the service stable, prevent automated abuse, and protect other users and our infrastructure.
Where required by law, we may also retain necessary information to meet legal obligations or handle valid requests. We do not sell email content or use it for cross-site behavioral advertising.
The system must read email headers and message bodies to display or forward messages. Attachments may also be processed briefly when downloaded. Automated defenses may check for malicious scripts, unusual attachments, and spam signals.
Do not use a temporary email address to store the only copy of important credentials. Once an address expires or you change it or delete messages, the content may not be recoverable.
Temporary email runs for the validity period shown on the page; extending it updates the deadline. After expiration, the system starts cleanup, so different components may be deleted at slightly different times.
Forwarding delivery records are shown for up to 30 days. Aliases and account settings remain until you delete them or close the account. Security backups are overwritten on a rotation schedule and cannot be used as a recovery tool.
We disclose only the minimum data necessary to providers that support hosting, network protection, email delivery, and monitoring. These processors are bound by contractual, security, and confidentiality requirements.
We do not disclose email or account data to other organizations unless you instruct us to, disclosure is needed to complete forwarding, a valid legal process requires it, or it is necessary to protect service security.
Network and email routing may cross the borders of your country or region. Where required by applicable law, we use contracts, access controls, and data minimization to protect information in transit and at rest.
Rules may differ between jurisdictions. Contact us through the support email if you need information about arrangements relevant to your location.
The site uses local storage to save your current temporary email state and login token so you can continue after refreshing the page. This supports product functionality and is not used to build third-party advertising profiles.
Clearing browser data removes state saved on your device and may sign you out. If there is no other recovery method for an address, clearing it may prevent you from reopening the original inbox.
We use encryption in transit, access controls, rate limiting, input sanitization, and security incident monitoring. Long-term accounts can enable authenticator codes to add another confirmation step beyond email verification codes.
No internet service can promise absolute security. If you notice unusual access, a suspected vulnerability, or a misdelivered message, contact support promptly and avoid sending sensitive content.
You can change a temporary address, delete messages, pause or delete aliases, and clear browser-saved state. Applicable law may also give you rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing.
When you submit a request, we verify your control of the relevant receiving email address or account. To protect others, we will not disclose internal records merely because someone knows a temporary address.
This service is not intended for children below the applicable age of digital consent in their location, and we do not knowingly collect children’s identity data. If a guardian believes a child submitted information by mistake, they can contact us for help.
You may not use the service to harass others, evade law enforcement, send spam, or receive illegal content. Such activity may trigger restrictions, evidence preservation, or disclosure as required by law.
We may update this notice when features, laws, or security measures change and will mark the date at the top of the page. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes, but you should still review the latest version regularly.
For privacy questions, data requests, or complaints, email support@relayforward.com. Please describe the feature involved and the approximate time. Do not send verification codes or complete sensitive message content.
